Tottenham Eye Hudson-Odoi After Impressive Forest Season

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports. The 23-year-old was offered to Spurs last summer when he was surplus to requirements at Chelsea, but the club opted to sign Brennan Johnson from Forest instead for £47m. Forest subsequently acquired Hudson-Odoi for a cut-price £3m.

Hudson-Odoi has enjoyed a fine season at the City Ground, finishing as Forest's second-top scorer with eight Premier League goals. His performances have changed Tottenham's opinion of him, and he is now on their wishlist for what is expected to be a busy summer transfer window. Forest could make a hefty profit if they decide to sell.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is keen to strengthen his attacking options after injuries stretched his squad this season. With a Europa League campaign on the horizon following a fifth-placed league finish, the club's schedule will be more demanding next term. Postecoglou lost Manor Solomon to a season-ending injury in September and relied on Son Heung-min, Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and loanee Timo Werner in wide areas.

Tottenham have yet to decide whether to make Werner's loan from RB Leipzig permanent for £15m. Hudson-Odoi, a former Chelsea academy star, could provide additional depth and competition on the flanks.
