FIFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against the Argentinian Football Association (AFA) after players displayed a Falklands-themed banner following their World Cup semi-final win over England.
The banner was paraded by a number of Argentina players after their 2-1 victory against the Three Lions. FIFA confirmed the disciplinary action, citing "using a sports event for demonstrations of a non-sporting nature, team misconduct, and discrimination and racist abuse".
