The FA Cup second round draw took place on Monday night, with 40 teams learning their opponents after an exciting weekend of first round proper action. The ties, scheduled for 5-8 December, will see several non-league sides face Football League opposition.
At least two National League teams are guaranteed a place in the third round after Slough Town were drawn against Macclesfield, and Chelmsford City will host Weston-super-Mare. The lowest-ranked team left, Slough Town (21st in the sixth tier), will welcome National League North side Macclesfield.
Six National League sides have home ties, including Gateshead, who defeated AFC Wimbledon, hosting League Two leaders Walsall. Boreham Wood, who beat Crawley Town, are at home to another League Two side, Newport County.
The final first round tie between Tamworth and Leyton Orient will be played tonight, with the winner travelling to Salford City in the second round. Tamworth manager Andy Peaks said: 'We’ve got a tough game tonight but if we can get through tonight it’s a great draw, it’d be great to go there.'
Other notable ties include Carlisle United, who shocked Reading, facing League One Blackpool away. League One leaders Stockport County will host Cambridge United, and Exeter City play Wycombe Wanderers. MK Dons entertain Oldham Athletic, while Wigan Athletic face Barrow.
