Las Vegas will continue to host Formula One racing for another decade, as the sport has officially announced a ten-year extension of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The high-performance circuit will now race along the famous Strip through 2037.
Race Popularity and Economic Impact
First introduced in 2023, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has quickly become one of the most popular events on the F1 calendar. It is one of three races held in the United States, alongside the Miami Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. Formula One president Stefano Domenicali expressed enthusiasm about the extension, stating, 'We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come. Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities, and influencers.'
Domenicali highlighted the race's strong economic impact, noting that it has delivered a lasting benefit to the local economy and community. 'We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market,' he added. He thanked the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Clark County, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority for their support.
Circuit Details and Winners
The race takes place on the 3.8-mile (6.2-kilometre) Las Vegas Strip Circuit, where drivers speed past iconic landmarks on the famous Sin City road. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the inaugural race in 2023 and claimed victory again in 2025, while Mercedes' George Russell secured the win in between. Last season, the all-female F1 Academy series held its first race at the circuit, with Doriane Pin taking the title.
Emily Prazer, President and CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., described the extension as a defining moment. 'Securing a 10-year extension through 2037 is a defining moment for the Las Vegas Grand Prix and a reflection of the strength of our local partnerships,' she said. 'I'm incredibly proud of the team we have built in Las Vegas and of our shared commitment to supporting the Southern Nevada community.'
Economic Figures and Future Dates
Formula One reports that the three editions of the race have delivered $3.2 billion in cumulative economic impact for Southern Nevada, thanks to three consecutive sellouts. This year's Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled for November 21 and will be the third-to-last race on the calendar, followed by the Qatar Grand Prix and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
