Harry Kane has come under fire from former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan after missing Tottenham training for a second consecutive day.
The England captain was expected to report for pre-season on Monday following his involvement at Euro 2020, where England lost to Italy on penalties. However, he has been absent amid ongoing speculation linking him with Manchester City.
Kane made clear before the tournament that he wants to leave Spurs in pursuit of trophies, with City his preferred destination. He believes he has a gentleman's agreement with chairman Daniel Levy, but Tottenham are adamant they will not sell their star player this summer, particularly to a Premier League rival.
Jordan took to Twitter to criticise the striker, writing: "Whatever Harry Kane does or does not believe he’s entitled to, if indeed he’s staying away from [Tottenham] for no other than getting what he wants. This is the [England] captain supposedly the example for all young and aspiring players It’s a disgrace I hope he reaps what he sows."
The situation adds further uncertainty to City's transfer plans, with reports suggesting they will only be able to land one of Kane and Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer.
