Jamie Carragher has launched a scathing attack on Manchester United following their 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace, labelling the side as the 'worst coached team' in the Premier League. The Liverpool legend, speaking on Sky Sports, did not hold back in his criticism of several players and manager Erik ten Hag.
Carragher singled out midfielder Casemiro, urging him to 'call it a day' at the top level. 'The football has left him at this top level. He has to call it a day and move,' said Carragher, suggesting the Brazilian should consider a move to Major League Soccer or Saudi Arabia.
The pundit also turned his ire on winger Antony, telling him to 'just get off the pitch' after a poor performance. Carragher described the display as 'embarrassing' and said United's defensive numbers are worse than bottom-placed Sheffield United, calling the team 'one of the most poorly coached in the league'.
Carragher praised Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, stating they would 'walk into Manchester United's team', and commended the travelling United fans for their support despite the heavy defeat. He concluded that Ten Hag needs to deliver performances, not just results, to build belief in the squad.
