Juventus are reportedly planning a £30 million summer move for Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior, who is currently on loan at Porto. The Serie A giants have revived their long-standing interest in the Poland international, who can play both centre-back and left-back.
Kiwior, 26, left Arsenal in September to join Porto on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy for approximately £23 million. However, Porto have set an asking price of £30 million for the player, and Arsenal could benefit from a sell-on clause that would net them an extra £1.7 million if a sale goes through.
The defender has impressed in Portugal, starting 19 of Porto's 22 Primeira Liga matches this season. The club sit top of the table by seven points, having conceded only 10 goals. Kiwior has formed a strong partnership with fellow Pole Jan Bednarek and has helped Porto keep 17 clean sheets in the league.
Kiwior previously admitted he asked to leave Arsenal on loan to secure regular playing time. 'The earlier conversation, when I asked for the loan, was more difficult,' he said in November. 'He understood me and supported me. At Porto, I have what I lacked in London: regular playing time.'
Juventus reportedly want Kiwior to compete with Lloyd Kelly in defence. The player is said to be keen on the move, having previously played in Italy for Spezia before joining Arsenal in January 2023 for £21 million.
