Eom Jisung received a hero's welcome on his return to Swansea City this week, with head coach Vitor Matos addressing the whole squad to congratulate the Korean international.
The 24-year-old rejoined his club after spending recent weeks on international duty with South Korea at the Asian Games. Named as one of three overage players in the 23-man squad, he was an influential figure in the team's run to a fourth successive title.
Match-winning performance and return to Fairwood
Eom scored the only goal as his side beat hosts Japan in the final, ending the competition as joint-top scorer with four goals. He returned to Fairwood with his team-mates on Thursday, where he received a warm welcome from Matos and the rest of the squad.
Speaking to the group, Matos said: "We need to congratulate Jisung because you won something really special for you. We are all really proud of what you achieved with your country. And for that, I think you deserve a big round of applause."
Eom's message and injury updates
After the applause, Eom addressed his team-mates, saying: "Thank you for the support and messages. It helped a lot for me. I'm happy to be back here and I hope we can continue on our run."
Swansea face Norwich City in an early kick-off on Saturday, with Matos set to assess the fitness of Stephen Eustaquio. The midfielder was withdrawn with an apparent shoulder injury while on international duty with Canada. There is better news on striker Ross Stewart, who is back in training after recovering from a quad injury.
Cabango's confidence boost
Captain Ben Cabango is among the other Swans stars returning from international duty, potentially full of confidence after helping to keep Erling Haaland and co at bay last week. Cabango later revealed he asked Haaland for his shirt after the final whistle at the Cardiff City Stadium.
"I did grab it after the game," Cabango said. "He was just there, so I thought, 'Why not?' He just gave me the shirt... but he didn't take mine."
