Raheem Sterling, the Chelsea winger, has been the victim of a second burglary at his London home, with the incident occurring while he and his family were inside. The break-in took place last Saturday, with masked men attempting to force entry into the property. Sterling, his partner Paige Milian, and their children escaped unharmed.
A spokesperson for Sterling confirmed the incident, stating: 'We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend. We can also confirm that he and his children were present at home at the time. Whilst the ultimate violation of privacy and safety, we are thankful to be able to confirm that he and his loved ones are all safe.' The spokesperson requested privacy for the family during this challenging time.
Thames Valley Police has launched an investigation into the burglary. A force spokesperson said: 'Officers are conducting a thorough investigation and ask anyone with information, or if they saw anyone in the area acting suspiciously, to contact police.' Chelsea are aware of the incident and are providing support to the player.
This is not the first time Sterling's home has been targeted. During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he had to leave the England squad to return to the UK after a burglary at his property. He rejoined the team in time for their quarter-final defeat by France. Sterling, 30, has not played for England since December 2022 and has been omitted from Chelsea's first-team squads this season.
