Bukayo Saka's sublime volley set England on course for a 2-0 victory against Serbia as Thomas Tuchel's side continued their unblemished World Cup qualification campaign. Having already secured their place in North America, England made it seven wins from seven in Group K without conceding a goal.
Saka answered Tuchel's call to score more goals with a first-half volley, taking his international tally to 14. The Arsenal winger guided the ball home after a free-kick was cleared to debutant Nico O'Reilly, whose blocked shot looped into Saka's path.
Substitute Eberechi Eze sealed the win late on, finishing from a pass by Phil Foden after Jude Bellingham won the ball. Tuchel made a quadruple substitution in the second half, including introducing Foden and Bellingham, which injected new life into the performance.
The result ends Serbia's hopes of reaching the World Cup play-offs, with Albania securing second spot in the group. Serbia had a near-empty away section after their federation decided against selling tickets due to previous fan behaviour.
England's slow start saw few clear chances until Saka's goal. Marcus Rashford registered the first shot on target, and Harry Kane headed wide from a corner. Serbia's best opportunity came through Dusan Vlahovic, but his flick went wide.
