Endrick's agent has admitted they are monitoring his future ahead of the January transfer window amid reported interest from Liverpool. The Real Madrid forward was linked with a move to Anfield during the summer as the Reds sought attacking reinforcements.
Liverpool's summer interest
Liverpool were reportedly among the clubs to have asked about the 20-year-old's availability, but Real Madrid dismissed the approach as they were not willing to let the Brazilian leave. The Reds eventually signed Bradley Barcola, while missing out on other targets including Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr.
Endrick has made four appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid this season, with playing time limited by competition for places in the attacking areas at the Bernabeu.
Agent's admission
Michael Yormack, president of Roc Nation Sports International, said his client is eager to play for the Spanish giants but needs regular minutes to aid his development. Speaking via Sports Boom, Yormack said: "I think it's a fluid process. I think we have to see how things go from now until the end of the year, before the next transfer window.
"I visited him a few weeks ago in Madrid; we had a great chat, he's eager to play, so we'll see what happens."
"He loves Madrid, he loves the team, and his teammates, but at the end of the day when you think about the lifespan of a career, it's short, and he wants to maximise it. I think his first choice would be to stay at Real Madrid, but he's got to play."
Liverpool's attacking depth
The situation at Anfield has highlighted the need for additional forward options, with Cody Gakpo recently returning from an injury picked up during the international break. Alexander Isak also received a knock in September, while Rio Ngumoha delivered an impressive performance in the Champions League win over Villarreal.
Manager Andoni Iraola defended the club's transfer activity in the summer, saying: "I'm very happy with all the signings we've made. I know the next question: 'Do you want more signings in other positions?' At the end the club has decided those signings we have done are the ones that improved our team and our position."
"There were other options we decided not to take, for different reasons: sometimes it is sporting reasons because they don't improve what you have, sometimes it is economical reasons as it didn't make sense in terms of the market to do those movements. But I'm happy now I know what we have, I have a lot of quality in the team and now it is the moment for us, for the players, for me to develop what we have."
