Martin O'Neill has moved to calm injury concerns over Celtic forward Camilo Duran after the player missed training at Lennoxtown this morning.
Duran was absent as the Hoops completed their final preparations ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash with Ferencvaros.
Visa trip to London
O'Neill revealed the £6million signing was in London sorting out paperwork after receiving his first international call-up for Colombia.
The veteran manager insisted Duran will be available for the match against the Hungarians.
"Yes he's going to be available. He had to go down to London about a visa. I think he's been picked up by the Colombia national side, so the only time he could do it was this morning," O'Neill said.
Best position debate
Duran has impressed as a striker but has been shifted out wide to accommodate record signing Kasper Hogh.
O'Neill acknowledged it is his responsibility to find a way to get the best out of his key player.
"He has played in a number of positions for us. I think his best position is either a centre-forward or just off the centre-forward," he said.
"It's up to us in the next few months to develop ways to get the very best out of him. That doesn't mean we should be making plans for just one player."
Team evolution
The manager referenced the Henrik Larsson era to illustrate his approach, noting the team must evolve with new players still settling in.
Asked about Duran's preferred role, O'Neill said: "He did say a couple of weeks ago that he didn't mind where he played but people do have their preference for a position."
"Eventually, that's what we want to do. We want to try and evolve as a team. We've got some new players in the side who are still settling down, so we've got a lot of work to do," he added.
