Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley renew their rivalry this evening in a hotly anticipated rematch at London’s O2 Arena. The first meeting between the two British heavyweights came just five months ago, when Wardley dropped his opponent ten seconds into the fight and again in the third round.
Dubois recovered to win the first bout
Dubois recovered on both occasions and went on to force the referee to wave off the fight in the eleventh round. That victory began a second stint as world heavyweight champion, a title he will defend again today.
The Greenwich-born fighter has weighed in at a career-high 253.9lbs (115.1kg) and is a heavy favourite to win again, though the lighter Wardley will arrive at the O2 with a point to prove.
