Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has dampened speculation of a third move for Jadon Sancho, stating that the Manchester United forward is currently 'not a priority' for the Bundesliga club.
Sancho, 25, spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Chelsea, but the Blues are expected to pay a £5 million penalty fee rather than completing a £25 million permanent transfer. The winger has no future under United manager Ruben Amorim, despite being originally frozen out by former boss Erik ten Hag.
Reports emerged that Sancho's representatives had been informed of Dortmund's interest ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. However, Kehl told reporters at the FIFA Club World Cup: 'Of course, contact with Jadon is always there... but it's not an issue for us right now. We have other priorities.'
Sancho established himself as one of Europe's brightest talents during his first spell at Dortmund before joining United for £73 million in 2021. He returned on loan to Dortmund in the second half of the 2023-24 season, helping the club reach the Champions League final.
Aside from Dortmund, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle are reportedly monitoring Sancho's situation. Villa previously took United teammate Marcus Rashford on loan but a permanent deal appears unlikely, potentially prompting interest in Sancho.
