Gianluigi Donnarumma's agent, Enzo Raiola, has revealed that Manchester City have provided reassurances to his client following the club's guilty verdict. An independent panel found City in breach of 114 financial regulations, though the club continues to deny any wrongdoing.
Appeal lodged and player concerns
City have lodged an appeal against the outcome, but concern remains over the future of several star players. Donnarumma, who signed last summer, is among those affected, yet his representatives have been assured that "sporting justice" will prevail.
Raiola's statement on the verdict
"Will the Manchester City chaos change anything? No, nothing will change for us or for Gigio," Raiola told Radio Napoli Centrale. "News comes out periodically. The club has spoken with Gigio and everyone is calm.
"Now there are important games against Liverpool and PSG, then sporting justice will take its course. But Gigio has had reassurances from Manchester City."
Further updates on this developing story are expected as the appeal process continues.
