A Baseball Legend's Brave Fight
Sandberg, who earned the nickname "Ryno" during his playing days, was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that had spread to other parts of his body. The 64-year-old has been undergoing treatment while maintaining an optimistic outlook.
"Every day is a blessing," Sandberg continued in his post. "I'm taking this challenge head-on with the same determination I brought to the baseball field."

His famous game-tying and game-winning home runs against the St. Louis Cardinals in 1984 became known as "The Sandberg Game" and helped propel him to national stardom.
