Head-to-head record and team news
Across 12 international meetings between the two sides, Spain hold the advantage with eight victories, while Croatia have won three times alongside one draw. Recent encounters heavily favour Spain, including a 3-0 victory at Euro 2024 and a 4-1 Nations League win last time out in September.
For Croatia, manager Slaven Bilic is expected to make adjustments following recent defensive struggles. For Spain, manager Luis de la Fuente will be without winger Nico Williams (thigh injury) and forward Ferran Torres (ankle injury) after both withdrew from the squad, though star attacker Lamine Yamal remains fit to lead the frontline.
