Lioness Chloe Kelly Returns to Roots at QPR After Euro 2022 Triumph

England Lioness Chloe Kelly, who scored the winning goal in the Euro 2022 final, was the guest of honour at Queen's Park Rangers' match against Middlesbrough on Saturday. The Manchester City star, a lifelong QPR fan, presented the match ball before kick-off at Loftus Road.

Kelly was initially scouted by QPR at a schools tournament before going on to play for Arsenal. Her iconic celebration after scoring in extra time against Germany at Wembley was inspired by QPR legend Bobby Zamora, who celebrated a promotion-winning goal by taking his shirt off in 2014.

During her post-match interview after the final, Kelly made sure to display her QPR flag. The club said: 'England's Euro 2022 match-winner is a lifelong R's fan and will be the club's special guest as we mark her incredible achievement with the Lionesses.'

Kelly received a signed Euros 22 Champions shirt from QPR captain Stefan Johansen and conducted a Q&A at half-time. She also posed with fans, who were eager to meet the match-winner.

Kelly's goal ended Germany's eight-win streak and secured England's first major football trophy since 1966. She has thanked her older brothers for allowing her to play football with them from the age of seven.
