Chiefs stay unbeaten with narrow win over Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 4-0 with a 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, surviving a late rally to remain unbeaten. The Raiders, who won only three games last season, led 13-10 at halftime and threatened to pull off an upset before the Chiefs pulled away.

Raiders push Chiefs to the brink

Las Vegas entered the game with a 3-0 record, matching the Chiefs for the first time in the rivalry's history that both teams had started 3-0 or better. The Raiders looked poised for their first 4-0 start since 2002, when they reached the Super Bowl, but Kansas City rallied in the fourth quarter.

Running back Kenneth Walker scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to give the Chiefs a 30-19 lead. The Raiders fought back with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Brock Bowers and a two-point conversion to Cody White, cutting the deficit to 30-27. After an unsuccessful onside kick, the Chiefs went three-and-out, but punter Matt Araiza pinned the Raiders at their own one-yard line, and safety Xavier Nwankpa intercepted Cousins with 10 seconds left to seal the game.

Chiefs' resurgence and key performers

The Chiefs have rebounded from a 6-11 season in 2025, with Patrick Mahomes throwing seven touchdown passes and just two interceptions. Walker has rushed for 173, 117, 70, and 177 yards in his first four games since joining from the Seattle Seahawks, despite injuries to receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton.

CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys was named MVP of the week after catching 17 passes for 189 yards and the game-winning touchdown in a 34-30 win over the Houston Texans. Lamb's 21 targets tied for fifth-most in a game since records began, and his 17 catches tied for fourth all-time.

Elsewhere, the Philadelphia Eagles blew a 20-10 lead against the Los Angeles Rams, losing 24-20. The Eagles went 0-12 on third down and recorded their lowest total offense (172 yards) in 12 years. Kickers made two field goals of 60-plus yards in Week 4's early slate, with Tyler Loop hitting a 64-yarder for the Baltimore Ravens and Chad Ryland nailing a 60-yarder for the Arizona Cardinals.
