Arsenal have discovered their potential route to the Champions League final after the knockout stage draw was completed. Mikel Arteta's side finished top of the league phase with a perfect eight wins, setting a strong foundation for their campaign.
The Gunners will face Bayer Leverkusen in the last-16. The German club currently sit sixth in the Bundesliga and advanced past Olympiacos 2-0 in the play-offs. Should Arsenal progress, a favourable quarter-final awaits against either Bodo/Glimt or Sporting CP.
A potential semi-final could see Arsenal face Newcastle, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid or local rivals Tottenham. Arsenal's first-place finish ensures they will play the second leg of each knockout tie at home, a significant advantage.
On the other side of the draw, possible final opponents include Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester City. Arsenal reached the semi-finals last season, losing 3-1 on aggregate to eventual champions PSG.
