Celtic can restore a four-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a victory over Kilmarnock at Celtic Park this afternoon, as manager Martin O'Neill looks to head into the international break on a high.
The champions saw their advantage cut by rivals Rangers on Saturday, and a win today would re-establish the gap at the summit, though they would have played a game more than their Glasgow neighbours.
O'Neill's turnaround after difficult spell
O'Neill went into the last international break on a low after back-to-back defeats to Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup and Scottish Premiership, with a Europa League loss to Ferencvaros sandwiched between them. Those results left the Hoops boss considering his future.
But a come-from-behind Europa League win over Besiktas in midweek, their first in the competition, followed a Scottish Premiership defeat to Falkirk seven days earlier. A victory today would restore the four-point advantage, a more positive outlook than in September when they suffered a double dose of derby misery.
Kilmarnock's battle at the bottom
Neil McCann's men are rock bottom of the Premiership, but a win against the odds today would lift them above Aberdeen. Celtic dismantled Kilmarnock 5-1 early in the season in one of their best displays of an indifferent campaign.
It is all to play for in the final top flight game of the weekend, with all the action covered in the live blog.
