Celtic is my second home and I might cry if I score against them

Former Celtic striker Hyeongyu Oh has admitted he might cry if he scores on his return to Parkhead with Besiktas for Thursday night's Europa League clash.

The South Korean forward left the Hoops in 2024 after failing to establish himself following his move to Glasgow under Ange Postecoglou. He fell out of favour under Brendan Rodgers and then moved to Genk in Belgium.

Road to Besiktas

Oh hit the goal trail at Genk, including a Europa League winner at Ibrox, and earned himself a €14million switch to the Turkish giants earlier this year. He has netted 12 times for them so far.

Speaking ahead of the match, Oh said: "First of all, it's very special for me to be back here. I couldn't speak English properly back then. But everyone welcomed me like family here. And Celtic became like my second home."

Emotional Return

"Maybe I will be emotional tomorrow. I'd be happy to score tomorrow. I'm Besiktas now. I will give everything for Besiktas," he added.

"What can I say? I came here as a young boy with a dream. It was sometimes hard for me, sometimes good for me. I have got good memories here. I will always be grateful for everything and the fans. If I score, maybe I will cry."
