Stars including Hollywood actor Idris Elba, who heard the news mid-interview, and Romeo Beckham, who used the win to tease his father, Manchester United legend David Beckham, have been celebrating.

Among his celebratory posts, the model took time to video call his dad to 'remind' him that Arsenal had won. Former England footballer David posted a screenshot of the call to Instagram, saying: 'The moment Arsenal became champions and my son calls to remind me.' Romeo had also posted on his own stories, including a selfie with the caption, 'Come on boys win us the title,' ahead of the deciding match between Manchester City and Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.
