Jamie Carragher has issued a warning to Arsenal, suggesting that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland poses a greater threat to their Premier League title ambitions than Liverpool. The Gunners currently lead the table by four points, but Carragher believes City's star forward could be decisive.
In his column for The Telegraph, the former Liverpool defender argued that Haaland is the most influential player in the league. "Where Arsenal have the best squad amongst the contenders and Liverpool must fix well-documented issues, Manchester City have the most influential player and dynamic attacker," Carragher wrote.
Haaland has scored in 12 consecutive matches for club and country, equalling a record set by Cristiano Ronaldo. He has netted 11 goals in just eight Premier League appearances this season. Carragher added: "The Norwegian is the biggest reason why Pep Guardiola's side have a great chance of reclaiming their crown."
The pundit also compared Haaland to past legends, saying: "I stand by my claim that Haaland is already the greatest goalscorer we have ever seen in England." He went on to mention Thierry Henry and Ian Rush, noting that Haaland's scoring record places him among the greats.
