Cardiff City host Watford in a crucial Championship clash at the Cardiff City Stadium tonight, with Brian Barry-Murphy's side aiming to bounce back from defeat and claim three points against fellow strugglers.
Cardiff's form and league position
The Bluebirds suffered a 2-1 loss away to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, leaving them with just one league win from their opening nine Championship matches. They sit 21st in the table, above the relegation zone only on goal difference.
Watford arrive in south Wales one place above Cardiff but in similarly poor form after a humiliating 4-0 home defeat to Burnley at the weekend. The Hornets have lost their last three league games and are still without a clean sheet this season.
Match details and how to follow
Kick-off is at 7.45pm, and the match is also available on Sky Sports+.
With both sides desperate for points, there is plenty riding on the encounter. Cardiff will hope to make home advantage count and build on the encouraging signs shown in their second-half response at Blackburn.
