The BBC crime drama Beyond Paradise has shared a poignant "that's it" message on social media following the conclusion of its fourth series, leaving fans devastated and clamouring for more episodes.
Fans Left Heartbroken
Viewers were left in tears after the series finale aired, with the cast and crew bidding farewell to the beloved show. The programme, which first premiered in 2023, stars Kris Marshall as DI Humphrey Goodman, reprising his role from Death in Paradise, alongside Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd.
Despite the show's popularity, the BBC has yet to announce its future, although Death in Paradise has been confirmed for two more series and two Christmas specials, with Don Gilet in the lead role.
Social Media Outpouring
The official Instagram page shared an image of the cast raising a toast, captioned: "And that's it for us this season! Thank you for being with us every Friday night!"
Fans flooded the comments with praise and demands for longer seasons. One wrote: "The best programme on the telly even the music makes me feel good xx love love loved it." Another said: "Absolutely brilliant series… super well done to everyone infront and behind the scenes… 6 episodes isn’t enough."

Call for More Episodes
Several fans expressed a desire for longer seasons. "There needs to be more eps than 6," one pleaded. Another echoed: "Excellent series but I agree that there needs to be more than six episodes." A third commented: "You’ve been amazing! Absolutely love this show! Please next season can you do 8 episodes!!"
Emotional Goodbye
The finale featured a heartbreaking exit as Humphrey and Martha bid farewell to Zoe (Melina Sinadinou), the daughter of Esther Williams (Zahra Ahmadi). In an emotional scene, the family gathered to say goodbye as Zoe left Shipton Abbott, promising to return.
"Have a wonderful time," Humphrey told her. Martha gifted Zoe a compass, saying: "My dad gave me that compass when I went travelling so I didn't get lost." Fighting back tears, Zoe asked, "Martha, are you sure?" Martha replied: "Of course, it is for explorers, and that is what you are now." When Esther asked, "You are going to come home, aren't you?" Zoe vowed, "Always."
