The BBC has announced its presenting and punditry lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Olivier Giroud and César Azpilicueta among the new additions. The tournament, which runs from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will see 54 matches broadcast live on BBC television, with full coverage across digital platforms.
Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan, and Alex Scott will lead the BBC's TV coverage from new state-of-the-art studios in Salford. They will be joined by a panel of pundits including Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, Micah Richards, Ellen White, Steph Houghton, Rachel Corsie, Joe Hart, and Thomas Frank, alongside Giroud, Azpilicueta, and others.
Commentary will be provided by Guy Mowbray, Steve Wilson, and Robyn Cowen, among others, with co-commentary from Alan Shearer, Danny Murphy, and Martin Keown. The BBC will also offer always-on coverage across YouTube, TikTok, and social channels for the first time.
BBC Director of Sport Alex Kay-Jelski said: 'The BBC is turning the biggest World Cup in history into the most iconic one yet. We're bringing fans closer to every match, every moment, and every story than ever before.'
Key matches include England's group game against Ghana and Scotland's opener against Haiti, as well as fixtures featuring Argentina, France, and Brazil. The final takes place on July 19.
