Daniel Farke has insisted Leeds United would be challenging for Europe if not for the late goals they have conceded, with the latest coming in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.
Leeds have now let in eight goals after the 90th minute this season, the most of any Premier League team, and have dropped points in five matches beyond the 85th minute.
The most painful example came at Newcastle in January, where Leeds led 3-2 but conceded a stoppage-time penalty before Harvey Barnes scored in the 12th minute of added time - the latest winner in Premier League history.
That defeat, combined with late concessions against Fulham, Bournemouth, Manchester City and Aston Villa, has cost Leeds nine points in total.
Had those points been retained, Leeds would sit on 40 points in seventh place, underlining Farke's belief that his side could be in the European mix.
Farke acknowledged that all teams concede late goals and Leeds have themselves rescued points against Liverpool and Brentford, but stressed the need for concentration until the final whistle.
