Paris Saint-Germain will be without Bradley Barcola for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool, despite the winger returning to training. The 23-year-old sprained his right ankle in the last-16 second leg against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Barcola limped off just before the hour mark after scoring PSG's second goal in a 3-0 win. He had also opened the scoring in the first leg in Paris. The France international scored in four consecutive games before being sidelined and has missed PSG's last two league fixtures.
According to RMC Sport, Barcola will miss the first leg against Liverpool. PSG head coach Luis Enrique said: 'It's up to him to say when he's ready. He's lacking a little bit of confidence, and we're looking for the best conditions for the players.'
Enrique also all but ruled out midfielder Fabian Ruiz, who has not played since mid-January due to a knee injury. 'Fabian hasn't trained with the group yet,' Enrique said. 'He's made a lot of progress, but he still needs to do a little more.'
Warren Zaire-Emery has moved back into midfield from right-back to deputise for Ruiz. Midfielder Vitinha said: 'They are two different players who do different things. We adapt to that, but we have already shown that when someone is not there, the team takes responsibility.'
Liverpool host PSG in the second leg on April 14. The first leg takes place in Paris on April 7.
