Barcelona are reportedly devising a 'cunning' plan to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, despite having already secured Anthony Gordon and pursuing Julian Alvarez. The Catalan club are prepared to offer just over half of the £26m option agreed in Rashford's loan deal, banking on United's desire to offload his £325,000-a-week wages.
Rashford, who is under contract at Old Trafford until 2028, has indicated he would accept nearly half his current salary to stay at Camp Nou. However, Barcelona's early transfer activity, including a potential free transfer for Bernardo Silva, has cast doubt on Rashford's chances of a second season in Spain.
Other suitors include Arsenal, Tottenham, and Bayern Munich, though United would prefer not to strengthen a Premier League rival. Former United striker Teddy Sheringham suggested a return to Old Trafford is possible if Rashford resolves his issues with the club.
Rashford has scheduled talks with United to clarify his future ahead of the World Cup. He scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in 49 appearances for Barcelona last season.
