Barcelona Consider Harry Kane Move Amid Bayern Contract Uncertainty

Barcelona have made contact with representatives of Harry Kane regarding a potential transfer, according to reports. The England captain, 32, has entered the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich, where he has scored prolifically over three seasons.

Kane and his family are settled in Bavaria, and informal discussions over a new deal took place last term. However, no agreement has been reached, leaving his long-term future uncertain.

Executives from the La Liga champions reached out to Kane's camp but were told the striker's focus is on England's World Cup campaign. The parties agreed to revisit the situation after the tournament, with Kane having scored three goals so far.

Kane's representatives are expected to prioritise a new contract at Bayern, who are desperate to retain the forward after he netted 61 goals in 51 games last season. He also opted not to activate a £56million release clause in his current deal.

Bayern advisor Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed in April that formal talks would take place after the season. Barcelona are seeking a new number nine following Robert Lewandowski's departure and have also explored a move for Julian Alvarez, but Atletico Madrid are reluctant to sell to a domestic rival.
