Man Utd's Baleba out for weeks with hamstring injury
Baleba out for weeks with hamstring injury

Carlos Baleba is set to miss several weeks with a hamstring injury after he was forced off in Manchester United's comeback victory over Roma.

Baleba came off just after half-time in the win against the Serie A side, clutching his hamstring after a driving run into the penalty area. He missed the start of the season with an ankle injury picked up in pre-season after his £70million move from Brighton and is now set for another spell on the sidelines.

Carrick confirms timeline

Michael Carrick confirmed the 22-year-old won't be back in action directly after the international break, ruling him out of the Premier League fixtures against Aston Villa and Liverpool as well as the Champions League trip to Lisbon to face Sporting.

"Carlos we don't know exactly but weeks, it will not be this week or the international break," said Carrick.

Dorgu return uncertain

Carrick was also coy on whether Patrick Dorgu could return to the matchday squad for the first time since September 20, having returned to training earlier this week after his own hamstring injury. It is the second hamstring injury the Denmark international has picked up this calendar year, having missed three months after the January win at Arsenal in Carrick's second game in charge.

"Patrick has done a little bit of training this week, so we need to manage that and be patient with that. He is slowly getting back with us, so we have to see."
