Arsenal full-back Myles Lewis-Skelly is reportedly growing frustrated with his limited playing time at the Emirates Stadium this season. The 19-year-old academy product, who broke into the first team last term with 39 appearances, has seen his involvement drastically reduced in recent months.
Lewis-Skelly has not featured in the Premier League since early January and has been an unused substitute in recent matches, including Wednesday's Champions League tie against Bayer Leverkusen. His only minutes since January came in the FA Cup fourth round against Wigan Athletic in February.
According to reports, Lewis-Skelly has expressed his concerns to manager Mikel Arteta, who urged him to remain patient. Arteta said: 'He had very good moments this season. He had other moments when he hasn't played. There's a lot of factors that contribute to that. But he's doing well.'
Despite Arteta's reassurances, the teenager's future at the club remains unclear. It is suggested he could be sent out on loan in the summer transfer window to secure more playing time, with a permanent exit also a possibility.
The lack of game time has also affected Lewis-Skelly's chances of being selected for England's World Cup squad this summer, as other players have moved ahead of him in Thomas Tuchel's considerations.
