Raya was in exceptional form throughout the match, making several crucial stops. With full time approaching, he pushed away a cross from Alejandro Garnacho that threatened to drift inside his near post. 'My heart almost stopped, but David's hand was there to bring it back to life,' Arteta said.
Goals from William Saliba and Jurriën Timber, both from corners, gave Arsenal the lead. Chelsea's Pedro Neto received two yellow cards in four minutes during the second half, leaving the visitors with nine red cards this season across all competitions.
Arteta expressed concern over Arsenal's game management in the final period and confirmed Declan Rice is a doubt for the trip to Brighton. 'It's certainly something that we'll discuss tomorrow because we have to improve it,' he said.
