Viktor Gyokeres' ex-girlfriend, Ines Aguiar, has hinted that the pair have reconciled after reports they split ahead of his £64 million move to Arsenal. The Sweden international joined the Gunners last summer following a stand-off with Sporting CP, during which he reportedly ended his year-long relationship with the actor and influencer to avoid ties to Portugal.
Aguiar, who has 208,000 Instagram followers, posted a series of photos captioned 'Somewhere in a very recent past'. Fans noticed one selfie video was filmed inside Mansfield's Field Mill Stadium, suggesting she attended Arsenal's FA Cup match against the League One side earlier this month, where Gyokeres remained an unused substitute in a 2-1 win.
The relationship had been a talking point among Arsenal supporters, who created a chant to the tune of Salt-N-Pepa's 'Push It', with lyrics claiming Gyokeres 'dumped his girlfriend to play in red and white'. The striker was forced to address the chant in a press conference.
Aguiar, originally from Lisbon, was a regular at Gyokeres' matches during his time at Sporting, often wearing his jersey. A viral video showed her promising to convince him to stay at the club, but he ultimately returned to English football. Gyokeres has scored 16 goals in 42 appearances for Arsenal this season.
