Arsenal face Benfica in the Women's Champions League at Meadow Park, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm GMT. The hosts will aim to build on a 2-1 victory at Tottenham Hotspur, a result that ended a frustrating run of form.
Team Form and Standings
Arsenal sit sixth in the Women's Super League, having won two of their seven league matches. In the Champions League, they have collected four points from a possible six, having led 2-0 away to Paris FC last month before being pegged back to a draw.
Manager's Message to Supporters
Head coach Renee Slegers addressed fans in her programme notes for the match, describing Saturday's derby win as a potential turning point. She praised the supporters, noting a sold-out away end of nearly 4,000 people, and said the team wanted to play for something bigger than themselves.
Slegers highlighted the connection between the squad and its fans, referencing players sprinting to the crowd after the final whistle. She said the win was an outpouring of relief and a sign of the bond shared between the team and its supporters.
