Guimaraes Medical Imminent
Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes is understood to be preparing for a medical ahead of a potential move to Arsenal. The Brazil international has been a standout in the Premier League since joining from Lyon in January 2022 and would add proven quality to central midfield.
Arsenal submitted a formal offer on Monday, which Newcastle swiftly rejected, but talks are ongoing and the Gunners remain optimistic. Newcastle initially demanded £100m for their skipper, but a deal could be finalized for a fee between £70-80m.
Norgaard Exit Paves Way
A vacancy will emerge in the Arsenal squad for Guimaraes as Christian Norgaard nears a switch to Everton. The 32-year-old arrived from Brentford last summer but managed just 11 starts across 20 appearances.
Everton are poised to sign the experienced midfielder for £7m, with manager David Moyes eager to bring the Dane into his squad. The transfer would also enable Arsenal to accommodate Guimaraes in midfield.
Vinicius Junior Pursuit

Fabio Vieira is one of several peripheral players who could help increase Arsenal's transfer war chest. The 26-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2022 but spent the past two campaigns on loan.
