Arsenal have completed the signings of Habeeb Ogunneye and Axel Donczew ahead of what is expected to be a busy transfer Deadline Day.
Ogunneye joins with sell-on clause
Ogunneye joins on a free transfer from Manchester United and Standard Sport understands the deal includes a 40 per cent sell-on clause.
Furthermore, the defender will primarily be involved with the Arsenal U21s, but he is also set to get opportunities to train with the first-team.
"It feels great to be here, it's such a big club," Ogunneye said of his decision to join the Gunners.
"I've got family who live in Hackney, so it's literally a full-circle moment. It's fantastic [to have my family here]."
"When I heard [Arsenal] were interested in me, I said to my agents it's a no-brainer. Seeing all the young players that are coming through as well, so I just wanted to come straight away."
"I just wanted to be part of that group, and win games together. It's good playing with good players, good defenders; it's only going to better you."
Donczew makes history at Cardiff
Donczew, meanwhile, arrives from Cardiff City having made history last season when he became the youngest player to ever represent the club's first-team when he made his debut against Newport County in the EFL Trophy aged 15 years and 234 days.
The Welshman is part of Arsenal's first-year scholarship intake and has also signed a pre-contract agreement that will lead to him signing professional terms with the Premier League champions.
Youth recruitment drive continues
Ogunneye and Donczew are further proof of Arsenal's new aggressive recruitment drive as James Scanlon and Igor Tyjon have also joined in recent days.
It is set to be a busy few hours for the Gunners as Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira are expected to join Al-Hilal, Barcelona and Hamburg respectively before Tuesday's deadline.
