Manchester United's Amad has taken to social media to aim a dig at Arsenal following the Red Devils' dramatic 3-2 victory over the Premier League leaders at the Emirates Stadium. The win extended United's winning streak under interim manager Michael Carrick and propelled them above Chelsea into fourth place.
The match was a rollercoaster, with Arsenal taking the lead through a Lisandro Martinez own goal before Bryan Mbeumo equalised for United. Patrick Dorgu put the visitors ahead in the 50th minute, but Mikel Merino seemed to have salvaged a point for Arsenal with an 84th-minute equaliser. However, Matheus Cunha struck a spectacular winner three minutes later to secure all three points for United.
After the final whistle, Amad responded to a pre-match prediction from Arsenal fan Jay, who had boasted on X: 'Arsenal are winning 4-0, they just sent me the script.' The United winger quoted the post, adding a picture of the final score and writing: 'Enjoy KID' alongside a winking emoji. Jay replied: 'Buck me in ends g, don't tweet me ever again.' Amad had the last word: 'Your only hope is a corner (laughing emoji). Be humble KID (shushing emoji).'
The defeat means Arsenal remain four points clear at the top of the table, but missed the chance to extend their lead. United will next host Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday, before welcoming Tottenham the following week.
