Amad Diallo has expressed his excitement about the potential return of Marcus Rashford to Manchester United, amid ongoing speculation linking the forward with a move to Arsenal.
Rashford's uncertain future
Rashford's future at Old Trafford was thrown into doubt last season when he was deemed surplus to requirements by then-manager Ruben Amorim. A loan spell at Barcelona appeared to rejuvenate the 28-year-old, but the Spanish champions opted not to make the move permanent.
The appointment of Michael Carrick as Amorim's permanent replacement earlier this summer could offer Rashford one final chance at his boyhood club. However, it remains unclear whether United will look to cash in on a player who still has admirers in the Premier League.
Arsenal interest
Arsenal's search for a left-sided forward has been unsuccessful so far, and Rashford continues to be linked with a move to the English champions. Former United striker Michael Owen believes Rashford would fit perfectly into Mikel Arteta's side after they missed out on Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior.
“I didn’t see Vinicius Junior to Arsenal happening, but a move for someone like Rashford would make sense,” Owen told Metro. “This would be a move I can see happening and makes sense as Arsenal are looking for a left-sided striker. He would fit well into Arteta’s plans and work well with the rest of the squad they have. So I can see this happening if Arsenal were to approach Manchester United.”

Diallo, meanwhile, hopes Rashford will fit seamlessly back into the United squad, which continued its pre-season form with a 1-1 draw against PSG in Gothenburg.
“It was a good game, we knew how tough they are to beat,” said the Ivory Coast international. “It is exciting to have Bruno, Mazraoui and other players. Now we need Rashford, Kobbie and it is exciting. We have two more games against Leeds and Milan, we need to get our fitness and hopefully we can win a trophy this season.”
