Comedian Rufus Hound has declared his love for actress Sally Hodgkiss, calling her the "absolute best person" after the couple attended Glastonbury Festival together. The 44-year-old has been dating Hodgkiss, who appeared as a waitress in EastEnders in 2019, since last year.
The pair met during a pantomime production of Jack and the Beanstalk at Norwich Theatre. Hound was previously married to Beth Johnson, with the couple separating in April 2020 after 13 years of marriage. They share two children, Alby and Hilda.
After their weekend at Glastonbury, Hodgkiss took to Twitter to praise her boyfriend, writing: "@RufusHound is the best person I ever met." Hound responded with a gushing tribute, tweeting: "No one has ever loved me as much as this woman... It's a blessing to be her boyfriend and she is my absolute best person that I didn't make." He added that she is "sunshine and snogging and smiling all at once".
Hound appeared on the 2021 series of Dancing On Ice but was axed in week four after testing positive for Covid-19. His short stint attracted controversy when, after winning the Golden Ticket, he made a thinly veiled dig at politicians over the free school meals scandal, prompting 341 Ofcom complaints.
The Glastonbury lineup included Arctic Monkeys, Cat Stevens, Lizzo, Guns N' Roses and Sir Elton John on the Pyramid Stage.
