AC Milan target Yoro reunion with Ruben Amorim

AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Leny Yoro from Manchester United, with the French defender having previously been a regular under current Milan manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.

Yoro's role at Manchester United

Yoro has played a limited role at United under Michael Carrick, who has preferred Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire as his first-choice centre-back pairing. The 20-year-old featured in 53 of his 74 appearances for the club under Amorim, who was sacked by United in January following a 1-1 draw at Leeds United.

This season, Yoro has been used both in central defence and as a makeshift right-back because of injuries to Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu, which have pushed natural right-backs Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui to left-back.

Amorim's interest and Milan's defensive needs

According to Calciomercato, Amorim wants to reunite with Yoro at the San Siro as he looks to cover for injuries to Mattia Gabbia and Mario Gila. Yoro played at right-back against Bournemouth, who beat United 3-0 at Old Trafford, and was at fault for the Cherries' second goal.

Milan are also considering Bayern Munich's Kim Min-Jae and Goncalo Inacio, who played under Amorim at Sporting Lisbon, alongside Yoro.
