Aberdeen unlikely to rush decision on Robinson's future
Aberdeen unlikely to rush decision on Robinson future

Aberdeen are reportedly "unlikely" to rush into a decision on the future of under-fire boss Stephen Robinson, leaving the manager safe in the hot seat for now.

The Irishman faced a major backlash from supporters after his side plunged to 11th place in the Scottish Premiership following a 4-0 hammering by Hibs at Pittodrie.

Fan Backlash and League Position

Angry Dons fans turned on their manager, chanting "You are getting sacked in the morning" and "Robinson, get to f***!" The club sits two points above rock-bottom Kilmarnock and currently occupies the relegation playoff spot.

While Robinson insisted he is ready to fight on, the Pittodrie hierarchy are reportedly set to weigh up a decision during the international break.

Club's Stance and Next Steps

Sky Sports report that Aberdeen decision-makers are "due to analyse the recent and results and performances" but will not "rush into any decision" on their boss.

It is claimed the boss "remains under serious pressure" but "no meeting has been scheduled yet to discuss the club's and Robinson's future." The club believe they have time to "reflect" before the next game against relegation rivals Kilmarnock on November 21.

Robinson's Response

Speaking after the dismal second-half collapse to Hibs, Robinson said: "No hiding away from it. An unacceptable performance and an unacceptable result."

"We have to be better than that. That's not acceptable. The result's not acceptable. I'm not trying to hide away from that."

"We have to get players that want to fight and try and get us out of this situation."

"I felt like the belief disappeared a bit as well when that particular sinking goal went in and they just fell apart a wee bit at the end. I agree."

"Without winning football matches the belief is fragile."
