Rare Land Rover Defender with Minimal Mileage Set for Auction
A remarkably preserved 2015 Land Rover Defender 90 Pick-Up, boasting a mere 124 miles on the odometer and having never been exposed to rain, is scheduled to go under the hammer in March. This pristine vehicle, described as 'as new', will be auctioned by H&H Classics at their Kelham Hall Sale in Newark, Nottinghamshire, on Wednesday, March 18.
Collector's Dream with Original Features
The Land Rover, which has had just one owner, features a deliberately 'back to basics' specification and even retains its original dealer allocation windscreen sticker. This 11-year-old model, sporting the classic shape that was retired after decades in production, is estimated to fetch between £50,000 and £60,000 at auction.
Adding to its rarity, it is one of only 334 Land Rover Defender 90 Pick-Up TDs registered with the DVLA in 2015. This was just a year before the final separate chassis Defender, a short wheelbase '90' version with a full-length canvas tilt, ceased production.
Immaculate Condition and Sheltered History
H&H Classics director Damian Jones expressed enthusiasm about the auction, stating, "We're thrilled to be auctioning such an amazing Land Rover that has been lovingly kept in a weather-tight barn. It's in almost untouched condition, despite being more than a decade old." He noted that the new owner will face the tough decision of either completing the running-in process or preserving its near-perfect state.
Despite its low mileage and sheltered storage in a barn, the vehicle, with chassis number SALLDWRP7FA474446, has been well-maintained. It features non-metallic paint, cloth upholstery, steel wheels, and manual transmission, and has undergone two services and regular MOT tests throughout its life.
Sentimental Origins and Global Appeal
Damian explained that the vendor commissioned this special Land Rover out of nostalgia for the Series 1 models he grew up with, rather than necessity. It is only being sold due to the owner's greater sentimental attachment to other Land Rovers on his farm. This presents a unique opportunity to acquire a box-fresh, barn-stored Single Cab Pick-Up that is expected to attract significant interest from collectors and admirers worldwide.

The Defender is part of a larger collection of dozens of vehicles going under the hammer at the auction. All motors will be available for viewing at Kelham Hall from midday on Tuesday, March 17, and from 9am on Wednesday, March 18, before the sale commences at 12pm.
