Michael Jordan's sponsorship of Paris Saint-Germain is set to yield a significant financial windfall after the French club's latest Champions League triumph. The NBA icon, through his Jordan Brand partnership with PSG, stands to earn millions following Saturday's victory over Arsenal.
PSG Defeat Arsenal in Final
Paris Saint-Germain became the first team in eight years to successfully defend the Champions League crown, beating Arsenal on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the Puskas Arena. Luis Enrique's side came from a goal down to level the match before prevailing in the shootout.
Jordan's Lucrative Deal
The 'Jumpman' logo has appeared on PSG jerseys since 2018, when the two brands first collaborated. PSG became the first football team sponsored by Jordan's iconic brand. Under the royalties agreement with Nike, Jordan is entitled to five percent of any merchandise sold bearing his logo.
Following PSG's win, fans are flocking to buy the club's special edition 'Back2Back' jersey. Fanatics, PSG's exclusive merchandising operator, reported sales spiked by 4,200 percent in the 12 hours after the club's 2025 win over Inter Milan—selling more merchandise in that period than in the previous three months combined.
Previous Boosts
In 2021, after Lionel Messi joined PSG, 832,000 jerseys were sold in the first 24 hours, shattering the previous record. That translated to roughly £130 million in revenue, with Jordan's cut estimated at £6.5 million. The Chicago Bulls legend, now a minority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, can expect similar returns this summer.
Jordan will hope Luis Enrique remains at the Parc des Princes for years to come as PSG aim to prolong their European dynasty.
