Jurgen Klopp's tenure as Germany national team manager has begun with strict new rules, including a significant restriction on family visits. The former Liverpool boss took charge of his first game against the Netherlands on Thursday, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
After leaving Anfield in May 2024, Klopp took a lengthy break from football before accepting the role. The 59-year-old has established non-negotiable rules for the four-time world champions, notably limiting how much time players can spend with their partners.
New Rules on Family Visits
During the World Cup this past summer, players' families and WAGs were allowed to be with their partners at all times. Under Klopp, wives and girlfriends will be banned from team hotels, with visits permitted only occasionally during major tournaments.
Germany are back in action on Sunday against Greece, with players likely to have considerable support from their partners in the stands at the WWK Arena in Augsburg.
