Tyson Fury Hints at Boxing Comeback with New Training Videos from Thailand
Tyson Fury drops major comeback hint with Thailand videos

Former two-time heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has sent the boxing world into a frenzy by strongly hinting at a sensational return to the ring.

Training in Thailand Fuels Comeback Speculation

The 37-year-old 'Gypsy King', who announced a shock retirement in January 2025 after consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, appears to be back in serious fight mode. Fury has uploaded several videos from the ISS Boxing and Muay Thai gym in Pattaya City, Thailand, showing him working pads and engaging in light sparring.

"This is how I spent my new year. Grinding & working my a** off! couldn’t think of anything better to do than this!" Fury wrote in an Instagram post accompanying the footage. He added the motivational message: "Great things come to those who work hard. All in the name of Jesus. Little by little on the daily we keep climbing."

A Heavyweight Division in Flux

Fury's absence has seen significant movement in the heavyweight ranks. Oleksandr Usyk solidified his legacy by becoming a two-time undisputed champion in July 2025, knocking out Daniel Dubois at a packed Wembley Stadium. Later that year, in October, Fabio Wardley earned a full champion status after defeating Joseph Parker.

However, the division has lacked major events recently, making the prospect of Fury's return a potential blockbuster for 2026. In one of the new videos, Fury is seen sparring with fellow heavyweight Kevin Lerena, who is also seeking redemption after a loss to Lawrence Okolie on the Usyk-Dubois undercard.

Joshua Fight in Doubt After Tragic Crash

Recent reports had suggested Fury was preparing for a long-awaited, mega-money clash with British rival Anthony Joshua. Plans indicated both men would take tune-up fights before facing each other.

Those plans are now in serious jeopardy after AJ was involved in a tragic car crash in Nigeria earlier this week. The incident claimed the lives of Joshua's close friends, Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif Ayodele, leaving the boxer with minor injuries.

Fury's promoter, Frank Warren, has admitted the proposed super-fight is unlikely to happen as early as planned. "Well, boxing will certainly be the last thing on his [Joshua's] mind, right now," Warren told The Mirror. He expressed uncertainty over the future for both fighters, ruling out a clash in early 2026 and suggesting it may not occur until late 2026, if at all.

This is not Fury's first training camp in Thailand; he was also there months before his rematch with Usyk. Whether this latest stint is the start of a genuine comeback trail or simply the champion staying in shape remains to be seen, but it has undoubtedly reignited hope for fans of the charismatic heavyweight.
