Tate made his long-awaited entry into the boxing ring last weekend, facing the Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor in Dubai. The fight, which marked Tate's boxing debut, did not go his way. After showing signs of fatigue in the latter rounds, he was beaten on points on the judges' scorecards. Two judges awarded the fight to DeMoor, while the third scored the bout a draw.
Tate's Spiritual Rationale for the Loss
In the aftermath, rather than crediting his opponent's performance, Tate has put forward a metaphysical reason for the result. He claimed that "forces larger than us" may have written the script, questioning why he inexplicably tired despite being in perfect condition.
"The only thing that makes sense is that I was not supposed to win," Tate stated. He speculated that a divine intervention might have favoured DeMoor, suggesting, "Maybe Chase couldn't handle the loss. Maybe God decided, 'Chase doesn't need the loss right now. Andrew can handle the loss better.'"
He even posited that losing could have had a positive personal outcome, such as granting him more time with his brother Tristan. "If that's the case, I'm glad I lost," he said, advising his followers to "have faith in a higher power."

Despite his unconventional take, Tate did publicly concede victory to his opponent. "Let me give you some life advice. Never, ever take away your opponent's victory," he said. "Chase deserves this victory; he deserves the fame, the happiness, the money, the credit. He earned it."
