The bout is a meeting 12 years in the making, following a first night that saw Liv Morgan retain the WWE women's world championship against Iyo Sky and Oba Femi beat Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match. Randy Orton also made a shock return, costing Cody Rhodes in his undisputed WWE championship match with CM Punk. The Bella Twins attacked Paige after their defeat against Fatal Influence.
