Manchester Street Style: Diverse Fashion in Summer Sun

As the academic year draws to a close, many students are enjoying their last days in Manchester, soaking up the sun and showing off their style. The Manchester Evening News spoke to some of the city's most fashion-forward individuals.

Daisy Birchall: Mixing High and Low

Daisy Birchall, 26, a content creator, was out shooting social media content. Her outfit featured a New Era snapback cap (£30), a Bershka vest worn backwards for its gem details, an Adidas track jacket, trousers from local designer 'Make It Wet,' Cold Culture boxers, a belt, Timberlands with badges, and a Carhartt bag. She finds inspiration on Pinterest and praises Manchester's diverse street style compared to London's uniformity.

Kamar: Comfortable and Colorful

Kamar, 42, a cybersecurity consultant, wore an H&M Mackintosh coat (£80), Vans T-shirt, H&M trousers (£40), and Aldo shoes (three years old). His tartan umbrella, bought in Edinburgh, is a standout piece. He prioritizes comfort over copied looks, disliking tight clothing due to his muscular build.

Morgan: Thrifted Layers

Morgan, 23, a biomedical science graduate, showcased a thrifted look: Vivienne Tam trousers from Vinted (£20), a charity shop St. Martins blouse (£3-4), a Zigzag jumper from Vinted (£6-7), a See by Chloé jacket from Vinted (£30), and a Depop Coccinelle bag. Her shoes are worn-in. She credits her dad for influencing her style and admitted today's all-black outfit was a rushed choice to escape house viewings.

Mohammed Saada: International Style

Mohammed Saada, visiting from Norway, wore a real leather jacket ($200), a $15 top, and a $50 undershirt. He draws inspiration from Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible. Originally from Palestine, he speaks five languages and has been in the northwest for two weeks, enjoying the climate despite the rain.

Maddie and Esmae: Scandinavian Influences

Graduates Maddie Reilly, 20, and Esmae Simmondshort, 21, were taking a final look around Manchester. Both favor Scandinavian style. Maddie wore M&S shoes (£35), an M&S skirt from Vinted (£9), Uniqlo jumper (£35), Zara top (£15), and Urban Outfitters bag. Esmae wore Primark shoes (£7), Zara skirt (£67), Brandy Melville jumper (£30), H&M necklace (£7), Parfois bag (£32.99), and Le Specs sunglasses (£55). They praised Mouro coffee before heading home to Birmingham and Bournemouth.
